In Full Bloom

The weather has finally turned around and summer really seems to be here. While the fall will always be my favorite season, I've always had an affinity for summer clothes. The bright colors, gentle fabrics, and exciting patterns and textiles certainly put me in a good mood. I'm looking forward to not only the cheerful flowers in our garden, but all of the newly "blooming" items that Bloomingdale's has to offer. Here are some of my favorites...

Olivia!

It's rained every day since I arrived home on Thursday, which is quite unfortunate for summer. Luckily, there's someone here to keep me quite entertained.


Enter Olivia, the best possible combination between vicious predator and cotton ball. It's been pretty entertaining having a character like her around but, I must say, it certainly makes me wish that my life was similar to that of a 5 month old puppy.

This doesn't seem so bad to me...

Tiptoeing

So, I started this blog yesterday for the purpose of getting out my thoughts, clearing my head, and doing something that I want to do. Of course, life kicked in and I found an empty page lying idle on my computer for another 24 hours. The semi-guilt kicked in after dinner when I found this fortune...



The whole point of embarking upon this blogging journey was to get away from what I normally do. I find it kind of intimidating to just put everything on a plate for someone else to critique, but here goes.

So (now, with a more positive outlook), I look forward to sharing my thoughts, likings, adventures, and random shenanigans here. "Uncanny Factory" came from the hope that creating a way to show myself and what I'm about will turn the gears for someone else so that they may step out and do the same.

And if a fortune cookie is even bugging me about trying something new, I suppose it's worth the "risk," right?
